Morning Message 11/10/09

Good Morning! Today is Tuesday, November 10, 2009.
Day 45 of School, 135 days left
Tiger Day: G

Announcement: We’ll be getting a new student soon-- maybe today, maybe Monday.

Today we have some special appointments...
  • The whole 4th grade will be taking a quarterly multiple-choice math test. It will cover all the essential 4th grade math standards (place value, comparing, ordering, rounding, adding, subtracting, etc.). We’ll stay in our homerooms to do it. This test won’t be timed. We’ll need to be sure to use our best test-taking skills: checking over our work, making sure we’re bubbling for the correct number, thoroughly bubbling in, etc.
  • We’ll be visiting our Book Buddies at 1:30pm-- right after library check-out.
  • We’ll be celebrating the end of the quarter by having a read-in after we get back from Book Buddies.

This morning we’ll be catching up with our textbook and hopefully organizing our binders as well... The things we didn’t have time to do yesterday.

To-Do List:
  1. Wish Hope a Happy Birthday! Complete your morning routine! Don’t forget about snack!
  2. Read-In materials should be piled in the Book Nook. We won’t take them out until this afternoon.
  3. Take out your Jamestown writing that you continued last night. Find a partner and take turns reading what you’ve come up with. I can’t wait to hear them myself!
  4. If you finish early, you may enjoy reading or practicing poetry.
