Morning Message 4/15/10

Good morning! Today is Thursday, April 15, 2010.
Tiger Day: E
Day 137 of School, 43 days left

CONNECTING OUR LEARNING!:
  • Can you predict the weather today by looking at the sky? Is that enough information? Let’s check-in with the NBC forecast.
  • What does the federal government collect from people today? And why do they do it?

REMINDERS!:
  • Writing conferences this afternoon and tomorrow!
  • Report cards will be sent home Monday!
  • Civil War test tomorrow! Have you been studying?

To-Do List:
  1. Complete your morning routine! Be sure to turn in any important papers to the “Notes for Ms. Bragg” box (like your signed test!). Don’t forget about snack.
  2. Take out your green writing journal. Use the sticky notes on your desk to mark the BEST parts of your writing journal. Think: What do you want to make sure that the teacher notices?
  3. When you are done marking the best parts, turn in your green writing notebook... We’ll make a stack on Ms. B’s desk.
  4. Then take out your Virginia Studies 300-year timeline and continue working! REMEMBER: every paper is 25 years.
